What is it ?

The EESi ('Easy') LAS Viewer is a Log ASCII Standard (LAS) file reader and log curve display program.

What does the EESi LAS Viewer do ?

The EESi LAS Viewer is a desktop application that makes LAS files:

Easy to Open:

• Double click on a LAS file in Windows explorer to open the file in the viewer
• Drag-n-drop a LAS file from Windows explorer onto the viewer
• Browse to a LAS file and preview/open its LAS header
• Supports LAS, CSV, XLSX file formats
• 1800+ curve mnemonics and units recognised out of the box (including ECS)
• Add unrecognised curve mnemonics and units in just a few clicks

Easy to View:

• Choose from installed CRAIN'S PETROPHYSICAL HANDBOOK templates
• Customise your own depth plot templates
• Select depth interval of interest and depth scale
• Colour fill between curves and/or constants
• Apply grid-line changes across all tracks
• Apply scale changes across all curves in a track
• Convert display between metric and imperial

Easy to Share:

• Save LAS curves in LAS, CSV, or XLSX file formats
• If you save as XLSX  and then open in MS Excel(R) you can add your calculations and curves! Then simply save/close the MS Excel(R) file, re-open in the viewer to display your results.
• Print log view to PDF file format
• Export log view to image file format (JPEG, PNG)
• Export log view templates (INI file format)
• Export curve mnemonic & unit groups (INI, CSV file formats)​

Why would the EESi LAS Viewer be helpful to you ?

Of course, if you don't have any LAS viewing software then EESi LAS Viewer provides  you with a low cost / full featured solution to quickly open, view and share your LAS work. 

Or perhaps you have LAS viewing software bundled in with a large petrophysical/geological analysis package full of many features, dials, dialogs and buttons... and perhaps it takes some time and effort just to load a LAS file into this large analysis package to see one small feature to answer one 'quick question' from your colleague.

In either case, EESi LAS Viewer can help you save time by making it easy to open, view and share your LAS work.

What the EESi LAS Viewer does not do ?

EESi LAS Viewer does not replace your current well log analysis program but complements it.

EESi LAS Viewer does not create any copies of your LAS files so you maintain your existing organization.

The EESi LAS Viewer is currently only available for the Windows 64-bit operating system (latest version: 1.3.0.37).

Lite versus Pro Version - What's the Difference ?

The FREE Lite Version will give you the display capabilities of the Pro version for a limited time (30 days).

However, if you choose to save the cost of the Pro Version you will miss:

• Saving your LAS files to different file formats (LAS, CSV, XLSX)
• Printing your depth plots to PDF (via Microsoft Print to PDF)
• Exporting your depth plots as images (JPEG, PNG)
• Saving and sharing your templates, curve mnemonic and unit groups

Pricing

The EESi LAS VIewer is $1250.00 (US dollars) for a single user license. Coupons and periodic sales do occur!

A single user license means either a per user or per workstation basis. That is, a license covers one person using the EESi LAS Viewer on any number of computers, or a single workstation accessed by multiple people, one at a time.

An EESi LAS Viewer license is specific to a major version. You can use that version for a long time with no additional cost. Minor version updates will be freely available to registered users. Additionally, registered users will be offered major version upgrades at a discounted price.
